Is Unlucid AI Kling AI Alternative?
I discovered Unlucid AI in a pretty unexpected way. I was researching website traffic for various AI tools, and Unlucid kept showing up with unusually strong search traction. That alone made me curious enough to try it. Since I occasionally use Kling AI to generate short, cute 5-second videos for fun, Unlucid immediately reminded me of Kling, and I wanted to see how similar or different the two platforms feel in real use.
After spending some time with Unlucid, here’s my honest, experience-based review.
1. User Interface & Overall Usability
The first thing I noticed is that Unlucid’s UI is very clean and straightforward. It doesn’t try to overwhelm the user with too many menus or advanced options. Compared to other AI video generator sites Unlucid looks more streamlined. Kling AI, while more powerful in many ways, can feel cluttered or overly complex, especially for beginners who just want to generate quick content.
Unlucid, on the other hand, focuses on only the essential tools. For newcomers or casual creators, this simplicity is genuinely refreshing. If someone is just getting started with AI image or video generation, Unlucid feels like a very accessible entry point.

2. Pricing & Token System
Unlucid AI uses a token system called Gems, and new users receive 10 Gems for free. Unfortunately, this isn’t very much if you’re trying to test the platform thoroughly. Image generation costs 4 Gems, while video generation costs 20 Gems, which means you can’t even try the video feature with the free credits.
Personally, this was a downside. I wanted to compare its video output with Kling AI, but the limited Gems forced me to stick to image generation only. In contrast, Kling AI provides a bit more flexibility for free trials, so users can experiment with video more easily.
If Unlucid wants to attract more first-time users, offering slightly more generous trial credits would be helpful.

3. Creative Freedom & Content Restrictions
This is where things got surprisingly interesting.
Inside the account settings, Unlucid AI has an option called “Show mature contents.” If you enable it and generate images, the model becomes far more flexible (more flexible than I expected!)
For example, I tested a prompt for “influencer-like beautiful Asian girl,” and the model generated… well, a fully nude version of the character. I didn’t expect that at all, and it genuinely caught me off guard. I jokingly thought, “Well, this just became my first nude-generator review.”
It definitely shows that Unlucid allows a level of creative freedom that mainstream platforms generally avoid. Whether this is a positive or a red flag depends entirely on the user, but the difference is worth noting.

Below is the girl that I generated. Looks very natural and real.

4. Affiliate Program
Unlucid also offers an affiliate program, which might interest creators or bloggers who review AI tools. The only catch is that payouts are currently made in cryptocurrency rather than cash. That won’t be an issue for some users, especially those familiar with Web3, but others may prefer traditional payment methods.
Still, the existence of an affiliate system suggests that Unlucid is trying to grow its community and incentivize early adopters.

Conclusion
Overall, Unlucid AI feels like a versatile, easy-to-use tool for everyday creators or people who enjoy experimenting with AI art. Kling AI remains my go-to because I already charged some tokens there. The right choice depends entirely on your workflow, your goals, and how polished you need the final result to be.
